THE REVOLUTION SMILE Ink Six-Album Deal With Flawless Records

March 2, 2002

THE REVOLUTION SMILE, featuring former FAR guitarist Shaun Lopez on guitar/vocals, have signed a six-album deal with Flawless Records, the label headed up by LIMP BIZKIT frontman Fred Durst. The band hopes to enter the studio in late spring to begin recording their Flawless debut for an early 2003 release. In the meantime, THE REVOLUTION SMILE will shortly issue a new CD, entitled We Are In This Alone, through Buddyhead Records and will celebrate the occasion with a record-release party performance tonight at Scratch 8 in Sacramento, California.

"We're totally excited and know we made the best decision by a long shot [by signing with Flawless]," Lopez told www.sacramento.com. "I never thought I'd have a relationship with [Durst] in my life. I don't care for LIMP BIZKIT at all, but you can't deny that the dude's a good businessman. And he's not going to make us sound like LIMP BIZKIT or PUDDLE OF MUDD. We're not trying to be part of any nu-metal scene or pop scene."

An MP3 of the track "The Gift", taken from We Are In This Alone, can be downloaded from this location.
