Boston, Massachusetts death metal/grindcore band THE RED CHORD has issued the following update:"As you may have noticed, we have taken a break from touring to buckle down and get a record written. The writing of our new full-length is well along its way. The current intention is to get into the studio sometime in April/May. We will have more extensive updates soon. In the meantime, we are briefly taking the show back on the road for a short run with WALLS OF JERICHO. TURMOIL will join up for three of the dates. Also, we are playing SUNY Purchase on April 17 alongside THE COOL KIDS, CHARLES HAMILTON THE TALLEST MAN ON EARTH, THE DEAR HUNTER and a bunch of other bands we don't really make sense with. We are excited to play all of these and hope to see you there. Look for more updates soon." THE RED CHORD recently posted video footage from its Hell On Earth 2008 European tour with WALLS OF JERICHO, ANIMOSITY, STICK TO YOUR GUNS, EVERGREEN TERRACE, CATARACT and ALL SHALL PERISH. Watch the clip below. "Prey for Eyes", the latest release by THE RED CHORD, was produced by Chris "Zeuss" Harris (HATEBREED, FULL BLOWN CHAOS) and features the artwork of Paul Romano (TRIVIUM, MASTODON, MAROON).
