'THE NICKELBACKS' Honored In Toronto

Toronto Mayor Mel Lastman presented NICKELBACK with a key to the city on Friday (September 19), the day before the free concert which coincides with Toronto's campaign to attract visitors in the wake of the SARS scare earlier this year. In a ceremony at City Hall, Lastman inadvertently referred to the band as "THE NICKELBACKS", even though in a press release before the event he stated, "NICKELBACK's music appeals to a diverse fan base and exudes energy. This is just the kind of event that makes Toronto such a great place to live and visit."
