THE NEARLY DEADS To Release 'Revenge Of The Nearly Deads' EP In May

March 25, 2017

Nashville rock band THE NEARLY DEADS will release a brand new EP, "Revenge Of The Nearly Deads", on May 26.

In making their third EP and follow-up to their 2014 full-length album, "Invisible Tonight", the group called on their fans, known as the #zombienation, to help fund the effort via a PledgeMusic campaign that ended up surpassing their goal by 148% in a short amount of time. The band also took this opportunity to help raise awareness about breast cancer, a cause they're deeply passionate about, and ultimately donated 10% of money raised from the campaign to the Keep A Breast charity.

Led by the inimitable songstress Theresa Jeane, along with Steven Tobi (guitar),Kevin Koelsch (bass),Javier Garza Jr. (guitar) and Josh Perrone (drums),THE NEARLY DEADS blend an amalgam of powerful pop vocals and aggressive alternative rock music to create a truly unique genre that not only gives a nod to gritty grunge, but brings it back in a way never heard before.

Evidence of this musical evolution came to fruition in the form of a breakthrough track called "Never Look Back", which achieved viral success with a zombie-infused music video that skyrocketed past seven million views. The sudden notoriety, helped the band gain a massive amount of new fans from around the world and set the stage to become one of the rock scene's next break out bands.

"We had a lot of fun making 'Revenge' and hope people have fun rocking out to it," says Jeane. "A lot of the songs on this EP focus on themes of moving on, being yourself, and realizing how much better off you can be once you shed the negativity in your life. It's about a mutual understanding between us and the fans that they love us for who we are and we love them right back. We want to remind people they don't have to change for anybody."

"This is going to be our heaviest, most polished, creative and catchy album yet," adds Tobi. "I'm really excited to share it with all of you and am forever grateful to everyone who pledged to help make this EP possible."

THE NEARLY DEADS will head out on the "Break Into Action Tour" this spring (April 18-May 25) with EYES SET TO KILL and BAD SEED RISING. Tickets for the tour go on sale March 28 at 10 a.m. PST (Soundrink VIP on-sale) and March 29 at 10 a.m. local time (general on-sale).
