THE DARKNESS Split With Bassist
According to a posting on THE DARKNESS' official web site, bassist Frankie Poullain is no longer a member of the band. "Remaining members have cited musical differences as the reason for his departure," the posting adds. "A replacement will be announced within coming months."
THE DARKNESS are currently working on their sophomore album with legendary QUEEN producer Roy Thomas Baker. In addition, the group's frontman Justin Hawkins is set to release a solo album before the end of 2005. The solo CD, entitled "British Whale", is reported to be "less rock" than THE DARKNESS' output.
