THE BLACK HALOS Sign With LIQUOR AND POKER MUSIC

March 14, 2005

Vancouver, Canada's "most decadent rock outfit to date" THE BLACK HALOS have inked a deal with Liquor and Poker Music.

Although there have been a plethora of punk and rock revivalists over the years, THE BLACK HALOS look to a slightly different golden age than that of THE CLASH and BUZZCOCKS; THE HALOS are more enamored with the glammed-up sleaze-rock of the NEW YORK DOLLS, the sonic buzz of THE STOOGES, and the snotty attitude of the DEAD BOYS. Their first release in over four years and first for Liquor and Poker Music, "Alive Without Control" will be released in June in a deluxe digipak with an embossed cover.

Vocalist Billy Hopeless, guitarists Jay Millette and Adam Becvare, bassist Denyss McKnight and drummer Rob Zgaljic will embark on a national tour with Liquor and Poker Music labelmates THE BONES beginning at the label's first annual SXSW showcase on March 19, 2005 in Austin, TX.
