THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER Launch Singer Search

September 19, 2003

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER are currently seeking a new vocalist to replace the recently departed Trevor Strnad. "There's an mp3 for the song 'Funeral Thirst', the first track on our full-length to download [on our official web site]," drummer Cory Grady said. "The track has no vocals on it — it's just the music. Basically what we want anyone interested to do is download the song and record two versions with your vocals in the mix. On one version you would sing the song as it appears on 'Unhallowed' with the correct lyrics, and on the other you would have total creative control over… your own lyrics and vocal patterns. As for recording over the mp3, email me at [email protected] for suggestions on how to record and send back anything you want to submit. If you have the recording process under control already, mail any hard copies to:

"Also, we'll take mp3s. You can instant message me (Cory) on the screen name 'grind is grind' and send me any recordings you make. The sooner we find a vocalist the better. If we like you, of course we'll want to meet up and practice and all of those things. Tell your friends! haha."
