THE BATALLION Replaces MESHUGGAH At Norway's INFERNO Festival

April 5, 2009

THE BATALLION, the Norwegian band featuring members of OLD FUNERAL, BORKNAGAR, TAAKE, GRIMFIST and BOMBERS, has replaced MESHUGGAH on the billing of this year's Inferno festival, set to take place April 8-11, 2009 in Oslo, Norway.

MESHUGGAH was forced to cancel its entire Scandinavian tour after the band's drummer, Tomas Haake, was diagnosed with a herniated disc in his lower back.

Tickets for this year's Inferno festival are available at Norway's Billettservice. Foreigners can purchase tickets through the event's official web site, www.infernofestival.net.

Imhotep's Paul Kearns recently conducted an interview with Inferno's Lars Frode Hansen about the history of the Norwegian festival, various bands that have taken part in the event and the ups and downs involved in organizing the annual affair. Watch the chat in two parts below.
