THE AGONIST Interviewed By METAL ASSAULT (Audio)

On December 7, Aniruddh "Andrew" Bansal of Metal Assault conducted an interview with vocalist Alissa White-Gluz of Montreal, Quebec, Canada's THE AGONIST. You can now listen to the chat using the audio player below.

In a recent press release, Alissa White-Gluz stated about THE AGONIST's plans for the follow-up to 2009's "Lullabies For A Dormant Mind", "We are now deep into the writing process and we are challenging ourselves once again, even further than we did on 'Lullabies For The Dormant Mind'. We also have a fantastic new addition, guitarist Paco Jobin, who is also participating in the writing of our upcoming release."

"Lullabies For A Dormant Mind" debuted at No. 105 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

Produced by Christian Donaldson (CRYPTOPSY, MYTHOSIS), "Lullabies for the Dormant Mind" exposes new facets of the band and touches upon classical, jazz, opera, grindcore, thrash and black metal influences in a complete metal opus. The CD features guest violins by Avi Ludmer (MAHOGANY RUSH), orchestrations by classical pianists Melina Soochan and Jonathan Lefrancois-Leduc (BLACKGUARD) along with many other Montreal-based contributors.

Fan-filmed video footage of THE AGONIST's November 20, 2010 performance at the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts can be viewed below.
