THE ACACIA STRAIN: Behind-The-Scenes Footage From 'The Hills Have Eyes' Video Shoot

August 12, 2010

THE ACACIA STRAIN recently convened in Western Massachusetts with director David Brodsky (HATEBREED, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, UNEARTH) to film a video for the track "The Hills Have Eyes" from the band's new album, "Wormwood". Metal Injection has posted exclusive footage from the shoot, which appears to be taking place in a prison yard. Check out the clip below. The full video is expected to debut sometime in the next week.

"Wormwood" sold around 6,300 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 67 on The Billboard 200 chart.

THE ACACIA STRAIN's previous CD, "Continent", opened with 5,600 units to land at No. 107.

"Wormwood" was released on July 20 via Prosthetic Records. The album, which was recorded at Planet Z Studios in Hadley, Massachusetts with Chris "Zeuss" Harris (HATEBREED, CHIMAIRA, SHADOWS FALL) handling producing, mixing and mastering, features three guest vocalists — HATEBREED's Jamey Jasta, 100 DEMONS' Bruce LePage and Kyle Chard of BORN LOW.

THE ACACIA STRAIN recently took part in the "Cool Tour" with AS I LAY DYING, UNDEROATH, BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, BLESSTHEFALL, ARCHITECTS, CANCER BATS and WAR OF AGES. They'll be in Europe in September and October on the "Hell On Earth Tour" with TERROR and more.
