TEXAS METAL ALLIANCE To Enter Studio This Month

November 2, 2007

TEXAS METAL ALLIANCE, the band featuring RIGOR MORTIS vocalist Bruce Corbitt, GAMMACIDE guitarists Rick Perry and Scott Shelby, GAMMACIDE/DEVILFIST bassist Alan Bovee and DEMONSEED drummer Joe Gonzalez, will enter the studio on November 24 to begin recording its first original material.

TEXAS METAL ALLIANCE was originally formed last year for a one-time performance to play a benefit show for HAMMER WITCH bassist/vocalist Wayne Abney. Abney had suffered a near-fatal motorcycle accident in August 2006. TMA's performance for the benefit included special guest members from some of Dallas/Ft. Worth's original thrash bands... GAMMACIDE, RIGOR MORTIS, ROTTING CORPSE and HAMMER WITCH. After the benefit, some of the core members that made up TMA decided to make it a real band.

The group is working with 12 Pound Productions on a behind-the-scenes look into the world of TMA. The filming has already started and will go on for several months. Due sometime in 2008, the DVD will include TMA rehearsing new material in preparation of going into the studio; TMA recording for the first time together in the studio in late November and also TMA live show footage. As well as flashback footage, pictures and the history of all of the members of TMA and their former and/or current bands… like GAMMACIDE, RIGOR MORTIS, PUNCTURE, DEMONSEED, etc. Plus, comments, quotes and stories from our fellow musicians, as well as our friends and fans comments mixed in throughout the DVD. Plus bonus footage of classic old times, shows and a lot more.
