TERROR SYNDROME Prepares To Enter Studio

December 23, 2008

TERROR SYNDROME, the Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada-based band featuring THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen, will enter the studio in January to record a "surprise" track featuring the group's latest addition, singer Dave Padden (ANNIHILATOR). The song will be included on the physical CD release of TERROR SYNDROME's self-titled debut album, which was made available digitally (through iTunes, Napster and Rhapsody) in July.

Commented Ryan Van Poederooyen: "We will be going in to record the track with engineer and my brother Jay Van Poederooyen who is the engineer/mixer for well-known producer Brian Howes. Together they have worked on projects such HINDER (both albums),PUDDLE OF MUDD, REV THEORY and many other famous acts. Needless to say, we will get some awesome sounds and the song will be released on iTunes worldwide as soon as we are finished mixing and mastering the song. I'll be producing the song like I did with the TERROR SYNDROME album. This song will more than likely be added to the debut TERROR SYNDROME album when we release it on CD in 2009. We will release more details after the song is recorded... this will be a song many of you already know and it will be heavy, heavy, HEAVY!

"As for touring, we are working on tour dates for early 2009 and will keep you posted when they are 100% confirmed. We cannot wait to bring the TERROR to as many places as possible."

TERROR SYNDROME made its live debut on October 28 at the Tom Lee Music Hall in Vancouver as part of the Vancouver International Drum Festival presented by Tom Lee Music. A one-and-a-half-minute clip of the band's performance can be viewed below.

"Terror Syndrome" was mixed by Devin Townsend (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD) and was mastered by Greg Reely (DEVILDRIVER, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, MISERY SIGNALS, FEAR FACTORY).

Guest musicians on TERROR SYNDROME's debut CD include Alex Skolnick (TESTAMENT),Trevor Dunn (MR. BUNGLE, FANTOMAS),Devin Townsend (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND),Byron Stroud (FEAR FACTORY, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD) and Christofer Malmström (DARKANE).
