Tasmanian Black Metallers RUINS Sign With BLACKTALON MEDIA

June 22, 2004

Tasmanian black metallers RUINS have inked a deal with Blacktalon Media. The group's first release for the label will be the forthcoming "Atom and Time" MCD, due on July 1, to be followed by the group's debut album, which is expected to arrive in 2005.

Founded by Alex Pope, RUINS' current lineup also features David Haley from the Tasmanian death metal band PSYCROPTIC. "Dave's influence instills a blasting direction into the songwriting process, however not removing the desolate and chilling feel that was central to the vision of RUINS," reads a press release.

The "Atom and Time" MCD will be available for the first time at the Bloodlust Festival in Sydney on July 3. The release will be available in stores in Australia (via MGM Distribution) from the start of August, and will be available to international distributors from Blacktalon Media from July 1.
