TAROT Confirmed For Finland's SAUNA OPEN AIR Festival

Finland's TAROT, the group led by NIGHTWISH/ex-SINERGY bassist Marco Hietala, have been confirmed for the post-festival party at this year's Sauna Open Air festival, which is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 11 in Tampere, Finland. Performing as part of the main event are NIGHTWISH, CHILDREN OF BODOM, THUNDERSTONE and DIABLO. Also appearing at the post-festival party are THUNDERSTONE (second set of the day, apparently),MY FATE and SWALLOW THE SUN.

Sauna Open Air is being organized by Partysan Productions, who have previously arranged gigs for acts like H.I.M., STRATOVARIUS, ENTOMBED, U.D.O., LORDI, SONATA ARCTICA and many others.

The festival is scheduled to end at 10:00 p.m., after which additional live activities will continue at Tampere's Pakkahuone venue (capacity 1,500).

In related news, TAROT's latest CD, "Suffer Our Pleasures", will receive a U.S. release on March 9 through Metal Blade Records. The album debuted at No. 10 on the Finnish album chart upon its release last May. The group's video for the track "Pyre Of Gods" can be downloaded from this location (file size: 45 MB).

TAROT, whose previous CD, "For The Glory Of Nothing", came out in 1998, never officially broke up and have managed to play at least a couple of live gigs ever year. TAROT feature Hietala on bass/vocals, his brother Zachary on guitar, Janne Tolsa on keyboards, and Pecu Cinnari on drums.
