TANK's ALGY WARD Interviewed On 'Heavy Metal Mayhem' (Audio)

June 25, 2013

Algy Ward, founder and frontman of British metal legends TANK, was interviewed on the June 23 edition of the "Heavy Metal Mayhem" radio show. You can now listen to the program using the audio player below.

Ward released "the definitive" new TANK album entitled "Breath Of The Pit", on June 3 via 4Worlds Media. The CD features 10 brand new recordings that "will blow your face off in true filth hounds tradition," according to a press release. Algy himself produced the effort, which is being described as "a real TANK album for genuine TANK fans."

"Breath Of The Pit" track listing:

01. Breath Of The Pit
02. T-34
03. Kill Or Be Killed
04. Healing The Wounds Of War
05. Stalingrad (Time Is Blood)
06. Victim
07. Crawl Back Into Your Hole
08. Retribution
09. Conflict Primeval
10. Circle Of Willis

Audio samples of all the tracks that appear on "Breath Of The Pit" can be streamed at Amazon.com.

All songs were written, played and shouted by Ward. The CD was engineered and recorded by Ward and Guy Denning at the Tankroom Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England and The Granary Lamberhurst, Kent, England. The album was mixed and produced by Ward and Denning. Mastered duties were handled by Tim Turan.

Algy's TANK is not to be confused with the other version of the band — featuring Mick Tucker and Cliff Evans on guitar alongside ex-RAINBOW/YNGWIE MALMSTEEN frontman Doogie White and ex-BRUCE DICKINSON bassist Chris Dale and former HELLOWEEN drummer Mark Cross — which released a new DVD, "War Machine Live", last December in the USA through MVD. The set, which came out in Europe in November via Metal Mind Productions, features live performances filmed on March 9, 2012 at Stodola in Warsaw, Poland and August 10, 2011 at Metal Hammer Festival in Katowice, Poland, plus band interviews, on-the-road footage and the promotional video for "War Nation", the title track of the band's most recent studio album.
