SYSTEM OF A DOWN's TANKIAN Explains Passion For Taking A Stand
SYSTEM OF A DOWN vocalist Serj Tankian, a partner up with AUDIOSLAVE guitarist Tom Morello in the political activist organization Axis Of Justice, recently explained his passion for taking a stand and fighting against injustice.
"I've always had this thing with injustice," Tankian said. "Anytime, if I'm walking on a street and I see a little kid getting beat up by a bunch of big guys it stays with me...I just can't just sit there kind of thing. That's just a small example of injustice, obviously, but no different than a country beating up on another country or someone doing something wrong in any other way. Or presenting genetically modified food without stickers, or whatever you want to call it. There's many levels of injustice in my mind."
Tankian added, "I've always had a thing, a knack about injustice. It just irks me. I can't help but react to it. It's very spontaneous and natural for me."
