SWORN ENEMY: Interview, Performance Footage Posted Online

December 19, 2007

Queens, New York-based hardcore/metal act SWORN ENEMY recently annihilated Europe with HATEBREED, AGNOSTIC FRONT and IGNITE.

Commented guitarist Lorenzo Antonucci: "We just got back from our biggest European tour ever. It was amazing to meet back up with all of our friends in HATEBREED, AGNOSTIC FRONT, IGNITE, EVERGREEN TERRACE, DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR and RINGWORM. We had a blast playing to massive amounts of kids every night, and this tour will definitely be remembered. We got to be part of the biggest metal/hardcore show ever in Dresden, Germany with 3,900 people in attendance, at the same venue where SLIPKNOT and SLAYER played together and did 100 people less. As the promoter and agent told us, that’s a pretty big fucking deal! Thanks again to all the people who showed up every night. Your support means the world to us, and we're glad you like the new tunes. We hope to see all of you U.S. maniacs early next year."

A new video featuring in-depth interview with each member amongst a slew of live footage from the recent European tour can be viewed below.

SWORN ENEMY's new album, "Maniacal", is scheduled for release in North America on February 12, 2008 via Century Media Records. The CD was produced by Tim Lambesis (AS I LAY DYING) and Joey Z (LIFE OF AGONY),who took a very hands-on approach to this album.

"Maniacal" takes SWORN ENEMY's sound to new heights with a thrashier edge pummelling the listener with a furiously blasting impact and unrivalled heaviness that is reminiscent of thrash titans like EXODUS, TESTAMENT as well as early MEGADETH and ANTHRAX.

Adding to the all-star cast in support of this release, Jordan Mancino of AS I LAY DYING recorded all drum tracks for the album. As a fan and friend of the band, Jordan was excited to be a part of this project and did an amazing job laying down a brutal rhythmical fundament for "Maniacal". Drums were recorded at Big Fish Studios, all guitars were nailed down at Method Of Groove Studio, and vocals at Studio Lambesis, whereas mixing duties were handled by the up-and-coming producer Daniel Castleman (DESTROY THE RUNNER, WINDS OF PLAGUE).
