SWALLOW THE SUN To Tour Europe With INSOMNIUM, OMNIUM GATHERUM

Finnish doom metallers SWALLOW THE SUN will embark on the "New Moon Over Europe" tour in November/ December. The trek will see the sextet play its first-ever headline shows in the U.K., supported by INSOMNIUM and OMNIUM GATHERUM.

The U.K. dates are as follows:

Nov. 30 - Plymouth, UK - White Rabbit
Dec. 01 - Leeds, UK - Rios
Dec. 02 - Wrexham, UK - Central Station
Dec. 03 - Manchester, UK - The Star and Garter
Dec. 04 - Glasgow, UK - Ivory Blacks
Dec. 05 - Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK - Academy 2
Dec. 07 - London, UK - Underworld

SWALLOW THE SUN will release its fifth album, entitled "New Moon", on November 10 via Spinefarm Records. The CD was recorded at Fascination Street studios in Örebro, Sweden with Jens Bogren, who has previously worked with such acts as KATATONIA, OPETH, PARADISE LOST and AMON AMARTH. Kai Hahto (WINTERSUN, ex-ROTTEN SOUND) has been recruited to play drums on the album following the recent departure of longtime skinsman Pasi Pasanen.
