SWALLOW THE SUN Complete Work On New Album

March 16, 2005

Finnish melodic death/doom metallers SWALLOW THE SUN have finished recording their second album at Sam's Workshop studios in Lutakko, Finland with producer Sami Kokko. "We just visited Finnvox studios, where our new album was mastered by Minerva Pappi," the band write on their web site, "She did an excellent job with it, as always, and we are really waiting for the release of the album in September. We'll inform you of the exact date when it's set. The release date for the single, 'Forgive Her...', is April 13,, and you can expect to see a video of the song 'Descending Winters' before the release of the album."

As previously reported, the "Forgive Her…" single will be strictly limited to Finland, and it will contain a cover of the CANDLEMASS classic "Solitude", featuring vocals by REVEREND BIZARRE's Albert Magus.

The projected track listing for the as-yet-untitled album is as follows:

01. The Giant
02. Psychopath's Lair
03. Descending Winters
04. Ghost of Laura Palmer
05. Fragile
06. Forgive Her
07. Gloom, Beauty and Despair
08. The Ship

SWALLOW THE SUN will tour Finland when the album is released. A fall Scandinavian tour is also likely.

In other news, SWALLOW THE SUN frontman Mikko Kotamäki will be singing two gigs with ALGHAZANTH: on March 24 in Turku and March 25 in Kouvola.
