Venice, California crossover thrash/hardcore punk legends SUICIDAL TENDENCIES have recruited THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN's Ben Weinman to play guitar for them on their North American run of shows in July.

SUICIDAL TENDENCIES announced Weinman's addition to the band's touring lineup via the band's social-media channels.

"SxTx is getting ready to take off for the July tour dates," the band wrote. "Speaking of flying, we're extremely honored and SToked to have the insane Ben Weinman @dillingerescpln playing guitar for us on these shows! Hope you are ready for this! Thanks for the support and SEE YOU IN THE PIT!"

Weinman will play the following shows with SUICIDAL TENDENCIES:

July 14 - House Of Vans, New York, NY
July 15 - Inkcarceration Festival, Mansfield, OH
July 17 - Vogue Theatre, Vancouver, Canada
July 19 - Union Hall, Edmonton, Canada
July 20 - The Palace Theatre, Calgary, Canada
July 22 - The Garrick Centre, Winnipeg, Canada
July 25 - Rebel, Toronto, Canada
July 26 - Elements, Kitchener, Canada

Guitarist Jeff Pogan announced his departure from SUICIDAL TENDENCIES on Monday. He wrote in an Instagram post: "I have decided to leave SUICIDAL TENDENCIES for personal reasons. This means I will not be playing on any of the upcoming shows or tours. I wish the guys the best of luck and am grateful for all of the experiences I had with them."

Pogan had been the guitarist for SUICIDAL TENDENCIES since 2016. During his tenure with the band, he played on their most recent full-length studio album, 2016's "World Gone Mad", and the "Get Your Fight On!" EP, which came out in March.

Drummer Dave Lombardo recently said that SUICIDAL TENDENCIES will release a new full-length album, apparently titled "Still Cyco Punk After All These Years", in September.
