SUICIDAL TENDENCIES Frontman: 'Getting Back To Where I Want To Be'

October 26, 2004

SUICIDAL TENDENCIES frontman Mike Muir has posted the following message on the group's web site:

"Two weeks ago I had another MRI for my back. After you've had surgery, If you get another MRI, they actually need to do two, one normal one, then one where they shoot dye in your veins so they can see thru any scarring etc. Last week I had an appointment with my neurosurgeon to go over the results. Fortunately, other than some scarring, it's all looking pretty good.

"Several months ago I had a setback and physically and mentally it was quite the bummer, but now it's back to the gym again and the slow process of getting 'back' to where I want, and should be. Although the process is slower than if I never had surgery, it forces me to be both 'smarter' and more appreciative of what I can and should do.

"Psychologically this is a major boost for both me and the band, and I'd like to once again thank all the people that have been supportive and sent emails, etc. Lastly, I'd like to thank my doctor, who I was very lucky to be able to have him perform the surgery and after care. Dr. Abou-Samra is a great surgeon and human being."
