SUFFOCATION To Co-Host 'Headbanger's Ball'

July 22, 2004

Reunited New York death metallers SUFFOCATION will co-host this weekend's edition of "Headbangers Ball". "Headbangers Ball" airs Saturdays from 10-12 PM EST on MTV2.

SUFFOCATIONs new video, for the song "Surgery of Impalement", was filmed at Philadelphia's Eastern State Penitentiary and features the band performing in various locations in and around the prison's locale. "Surgery of Impalement" is featured on SUFFOCATION's recently released album "Souls to Deny". Eastern State Penitentiary is known previously for having held notorious gangster Al Capone and was featured in the 1995 motion picture "Twelve Monkeys".

Fresh off a high-profile performance at the inaugural Aggressive Music Festival, SUFFOCATION will headline the upcoming "Mayhem Convention" on Saturday, July 24 at the Palladium in Worcester, MA. The band will also appear among the headlining acts at Hellfest 2004 this Friday, July 23 in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
