SUFFOCATION, DYING FETUS Drummers Interviewed On 'The Governor's Ball'

October 21, 2008

SUFFOCATION drummer Mike Smith and DYING FETUS drummer Trey Williams were interviewed for this week's edition of the "The Governor's Ball". You can download the program at this location.

SUFFOCATION recently inked a deal with Nuclear Blast Records. The band's new album, "Blood Oath", is expected in early 2009.

For 18 years now, SUFFOCATION has been creating music that has become the very standard by which we judge all things extreme. Their fusion of technicality, groove and sheer unrelenting brutality has been imitated but never quite duplicated. Milestone records such as "Effigy of the Forgotten", "Pierced from Within", "Despise the Sun" and soon to be classic self-titled record, have influenced a wealth of today's best musical talents.

SUFFOCATION recently completed a North American tour as direct support to reactivated UK melodo-death/gore/grind legends CARCASS. The package also included 1349, ABORTED and ROTTEN SOUND.

DYING FETUS is among the confirmed bands for the eighth edition of the Trois Rivières Metalfest, set to take place November 7-8, 2008 at the Bâtisse Industrielle in Trois-Rivières, Quebec.

DYING FETUS's video for the track "Homicidal Retribution" was lensed by director Frankie Nasso (MUDVAYNE, HATEBREED, ALL THAT REMAINS) and producer Kim Resteghini for Raging Nation Films (TRIVIUM, SHADOWS FALL, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, UNEARTH) at Philadelphia's historic Eastern State Penitentiary. The video's premise is that of an accused man spending a life-time in prison.
