STRIKER Signs With IRON KODEX

October 20, 2008

Iron Kodex has announced the signing of the Canadian metal band STRIKER.

Standing on the shoulders of Canadian giants like early ANNIHILATOR, GOAT HORN, CAULDRON and the best of European and American speed metal, STRIKER certainly is one of the finest newcomers from Canada in the last decade. The excellent high-pitched vocals of Dan Cleary, the rhythm section bursting with sheer power and the classic twin guitar leads by Ian Sandercock and Chris Segger will make headbangers around the world go insane.

Originally formed in January 2007 by Ian and Dan, STRIKER did not have a full lineup until the summer of 2007. After a number of shows in the area of the band's hometown Edmonton, a four-track demo was recorded and self-released on CD-R in tiny quantities. Following the summer of 2008, the band underwent a lineup change and was picked up by Iron Kodex after a chance meeting at the Magic Circle Festival 2008 in Bad Arolsen, Germany. The band signed for one 12" EP, to be released in early 2009, and one full-length CD, scheduled for summer 2009.
