Hank Pearl of The Daily Rock conducted an interview with vocalist Alexis Brown of the Knoxville, Tennessee-based female-fronted metal/hardcore act STRAIGHT LINE STITCH before the band's December 2, 2010 concert at the House Of Blues in Chicago, Illinois. You can now watch the chat below.
STRAIGHT LINE STITCH's sophomore album, "The Fight Of Our Lives", will be released on March 22 via eOne Music. The follow-up to 2008's "When Skies Wash Ashore" was produced and mixed by the Grammy Award-nominated producer Johnny K (DISTURBED, MACHINE HEAD, SEVENDUST) and is set to include eleven new songs. Additional work on the album was done by Ben Schigel.
Commented STRAIGHT LINE STITCH frontwoman Alexis Brown: "The only thing that comes to mind when I think of our new record is excitement! As a band, we've have grown leaps and bounds in comparison to our last release."
The album's first single, "Conversion", is available for streaming using the audio player below (courtesy of AOL's Noisecreep).
Added Brown: "'Conversion' is one of my favorite songs on the record because it's about shedding old skin and becoming a whole another being. I'm really stoked that it's the first single off our new record."
STRAIGHT LINE STITCH is preparing to film a video for "Conversion" with director Dale "Rage" Resteghini.
Resteghini has directed over 550 music videos since 2003, including clips for such metal bands as MUDVAYNE, HATEBREED, ANTHRAX and SHADOWS FALL. Rage has also helmed videos for some of the biggest names in the hip hop world, including Lil Wayne, Diddy, Snoop Dog and Ice Cube.
STRAIGHT LINE STITCH will support TIMES OF GRACE — the new project that reteams KILLSWITCH ENGAGE guitarist and producer extraordinaire Adam Dutkiewicz with original KILLSWITCH ENGAGE vocalist Jesse Leach — in February. Additional support on the trek will come from WAR OF AGES.
