STONE SOUR: 'Hesitate' Video Released

December 15, 2010

"Hesitate", the new video from STONE SOUR — the band featuring SLIPKNOT members Corey Taylor (vocals) and Jim Root (guitar) — can be viewed below. (UPDATE: The clip that was apparently prematurely leaked to YouTube is not the "final" version and it has since been removed by the group's record label, Roadrunner Records.) The clip was filmed on September 20 in Los Angeles with director Paul Brown (JACK WHITE/ALICIA KEYS, AVENGED SEVENFOLD, JOHN MAYER) and directing collective Beta Movement/Skulley FX. Taylor previously stated about the clip, "[It] should come out pretty amazing. [I am] super-stoked. This will be THE video of our career."

Taylor told The Pulse Of Radio that "Hesitate" is one of the standout tracks on the latest STONE SOUR album, "Audio Secrecy", for him. "It's really beautiful," he said. "It's about something that I think a lot of people can relate to, is the fact that you fall really hard for someone, it burns really hot, and then it just kind of goes away. And then you're stuck standing with this person who you're not really sure how you feel about it anymore. So you really have to take a step away. You have to do what's right for you."

STONE SOUR is giving members of its fan club, the Dead Generation, an exclusive glimpse into the evolution of "Audio Secrecy".

STONE SOUR has posted the first of several early demo recordings of the songs that would go on to become "Audio Secrecy" inside the members-only Dead Generation section of StoneSour.com. Available nowhere else, these pre-production recordings show how the songs grew from their original conception to their fully realized album form. A new demo will be posted each month, beginning with "Say You'll Haunt Me" on December 3.

STONE SOUR's third album, "Audio Secrecy", was released on September 7 and debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard album chart, selling 46,000 copies in its first week of release.

STONE SOUR, AVENGED SEVENFOLD and HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD will join forces for "The Nightmare After Christmas" tour in January/February.
