STONE SOUR Guitarist Not Sweet On Halloween

October 30, 2006

Launch Radio Networks reports: STONE SOUR guitarist Jim Root gets to pretend it's Halloween every day when he puts on a mask and costume to tour with his other band, SLIPKNOT. But surprisingly, Root told Launch that he doesn't get too excited when the actual holiday rolls around. "You know, Halloween, I don't know, I'm not much of a sit-at-home and, you know, open the-door-for-kids-and-give-candy-out type of guy," he said. "And I'm never home, so...I suppose maybe one of these days if I ever have kids, I might change my mind about that, but indifferent, I guess, on the whole Halloween thing."

STONE SOUR's second album, "Come What(ever) May", arrived in August and spawned the top rock hit, "Through Glass". The band heads out on the Music As A Weapon tour with DISTURBED next month.

A double DVD called "Voliminal: Inside The Nine", which takes a comprehensive and candid look at the history of SLIPKNOT, arrives on December 5.
