STEVEN TYLER's SKITTLES Portrait To Be Auctioned To Benefit JANIE'S FUND

February 8, 2016

Skittles announced tonight an eBay auction of AEROSMITH singer Steven Tyler's Skittles portrait to support Tyler's philanthropic initiative that helps girls who have been abused and neglected: Janie's Fund.

Tyler and his Skittles portrait are featured in the Skittles Super Bowl 50 television commercial, in which Tyler comes face to face with a portrait of himself made entirely of the candy. Bidders can bid on the replica Skittles portrait at www.SkittlesPortrait.com starting Sunday evening until Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. CST.

Proceeds from the auction will support Janie's Fund, Tyler's partnership with private nonprofit Youth Villages that raises money and awareness to help Youth Villages provide trauma-informed care to girls who have histories of being abused and/or neglected.

Tyler's hit song "Janie's Got a Gun", originally released November 8, 1989, was born out of a growing desire to speak up for victims of child abuse. Each year, one in five girls in the United States experiences sexual abuse.

Janie's Fund is a philanthropic initiative created by Tyler in partnership with Youth Villages to bring hope and healing to girls who have suffered the trauma of abuse and neglect. Steven first gave voice to this cause with his hit "Janie's Got a Gun", and his establishment of the fund ensures that these vulnerable girls will have an enduring voice for years to come. Janie's Fund has two important goals: to bring much-needed awareness to the issue of abuse and neglect of children and to generate financial support to ensure that girls receive the most effective sup-port available to help them overcome the trauma and pain of abuse. One hundred percent of all donations to Janie's Fund are used to support proven programs at Youth Villages that have demonstrated effectiveness in addressing the trauma of sexual abuse in children and to expand these services to help even more girls. These services incorporate the latest research on developing brains and neuropsychology.

Tyler is currently working on his highly anticipated solo album with Big Machine Label Group. His first country single, "Love Is Your Name", debuted on May 13, 2015 and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Country streaming songs chart. The accompanying video has garnered over ten million views to date. He released his critically acclaimed second country single, "Red, White & You", on January 22.
