STEPHEN PEARCY: There Will Be No RATT Reunion

September 27, 2005

Former RATT frontman Stephen Pearcy has posted the following message on his official web site:

"Right now I'm gearing up for RAT BASTARDS Unplugged, the VH1 'Metal Mania Stripped Vol. 2' Tour. The first show of this tour is October 25th in Minneapolis, MN. Were not going to have the same set every night so it's gonna be a good trip doing the acoustic thing.

"The RAT BASTARDS will have three acoustic guitars in your face and a whole lotta music. I will be doing some solo shows in support of 'Fueler' after the VH1 tour. It's still a party so come out and play!

"Top Fuel Records has been preparing new releases for late 2005 / early 2006. Debut artists, SEP'Before & Laughter Part 2', ARCADE'A4', VICIOUS DELITE'VD' (Beau Hill mix),MICKEY RATT'In Your Direction' (w/ Jake E. Lee, Matt Thorn),'Rattus Erectus' (best of),live concert DVDs and more! There will also be a new SEP 'Anthology' (history best of) on Cleopatra / Top Fuel Records. The new video single 'Sinomatic', off 'Fueler', will be released late November. You can still get the NEW SEP solo release 'Fueler' and 'Rat Attack' (best of MICKEY RATT - RATT music w/ George Lynch, Tracii Guns, Mark Zavon — guest lead guitars w/ RAT BASTARDS) on Cleopatra / Top Fuel Records.

"Top Fuel Records is releasing 'Metal In America – MIA' in February 2006. It's ALL here on this NEW compilation, 20 unsigned bands from around the USA! (hard rock – metal – hardcore – rap – pop - rock) This is going to have some of the BEST unheard music that these bands submitted to Top Fuel Records. There were so many ass-kicking songs from so many bands we decided to put the best (20) songs we want you to hear on the release. The best song voted on after the release will have a label deal with Top Fuel Records for your listening pleasure. 'Metal in America - Made in America'! Keep sending your music to Top Fuel Records! Keep and eye out on www.stephen-pearcy.com for more info.

"ESPN2 NHRA Drag Racing is showing the 'Drive With Me' video from 'Fueler'. Check out www.NHRA.com for the race dates and TV time. The Top Fuel Entertainment Dragster / Funny Car should be hitting the asphalt soon. Were not rushing into this, what we have in mind is something so intense; drag racing will never be the same! Top Fuel Entertainment has been developing the project for some time and we along with driver Greg Uffens are finalizing sponsors. The Top Fuel Entertainment Race Team will also feature special events at the race track. More info on that later.

"Some RATT-related news. I finished a bit for RATT 'Behind the Music' and another VH1 'metal/'80s' show awhile back that's due out in October and will finish up the VH1 'Behind the Music' soon. The show is to air early 2006. I also just did a radio show w/ Martha Quinn (original MTV VJ) that was great. We (SEP/Erik Ferentinos - RAT BASTARD guitarist) even had Miss MTV in the studio singing 'Round & Round'. That girlie did good! We played a few RATT songs acoustic. The interview date and time will be posted on www.stephen-pearcy.com when we get it.

"As far as a RATT reunion, there WILL NOT BE ONE! I'm concerned and appalled from what I see and hear! I can speak for Juan Croucier (former/original bass player / writer in RATT) that those former original members (De Martini / Blotzer) have become quite accustomed to being what they've become. There's a lot of wrong unfinished business still going on. If it takes waking the dead, we'll do it. Then we might see an even playing field. Until then we're not about to be directed by the blind. I'm doing F.I.N.E. and Juan and I see nothing (after two proposals) positive in recreating the animosity of the past to even consider a reunion, of any kind. It's nothing personal, it's ALL business!"
