STATIC-X: Tour Bus Breaks Down, Band Cancel DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL Appearance

June 5, 2004

STATIC-X were forced to cancel their scheduled appearance at the Download Festival in Donington, England on Saturday (June 5) after their tour bus broke down in Germany. The following is the band's official statement on the matter:

"We would like to send out a sincere apology for not being able to make the Download Festival today. We are stranded in the German countryside as our bus broke down late last night. We left the Rock Am Park Festival yesterday early, missing JUDAS PRIEST's set because of the long drive to the U.K. For 12 hours we were stuck in the bus along the side of a highway. Finally catching a ride to a local hotel in the middle of nowhere: Dernbach, Germany. For all our U.K. fans, we would like to express how bummed out we are at not being able to take the stage today. It's a horrible feeling and the only consolation is that we will be in the U.K. for two shows later this month."
