STAMPIN' GROUND, MURDER ONE, THE AXIS OF PERDITION Confirmed For U.K.'s DAMNATION FESTIVAL

March 13, 2006

U.K. hardcore legends STAMPIN' GROUND, no-frills bastards MURDER ONE and black metallers THE AXIS OF PERDITION will bolster the British contingent ripping up Damnation Festival 2006, set to take place October 15 in Manchester, England.

They will be joined by three of the U.K.'s finest rising acts: muscle-bound groove metallers HEAD-ON, extreme metalcore from London in the shape of KINGSIZE BLUES and exciting thrash upstarts EVILE.

Having persisted for over a decade, STAMPIN' GROUND's aggressive, no-nonsense metal has earned them a loyal following and a reputation for packing one of the most explosive live shows around.

They'll join a Jagermeister-sponsored stage already boasting metal warriors BIOMECHANICAL and zombie crew SEND MORE PARAMEDICS; as will MURDER ONE, a dirty, raucous blast of satisfyingly unpleasant noise featuring the vocal talents of RAGING SPEEDHORN's returning Damnation veteran John Loughlin.

Catering for those with a more extreme palette, THE AXIS OF PERDITION are the first band announced for the Terrorizer stage.

The second instalment of U.K.-focused metal will again take place across two stages in Manchester's Jilly's Rockworld and Music Box.

Tickets for Damnation Festival 2006 are priced £15 and will be on sale in
April.
