STAIND Singer Unveils Latest Solo Tour

The Pulse of Radio reports: STAIND singer Aaron Lewis has unveiled the dates and venues for the first leg of his sixth annual solo acoustic tour, which will begin on January 1, 2010 in Henderson, Las Vegas and extend into February. The first gig of the second leg, on February 25 in Hammond, Indiana, has also been confirmed. The full itinerary for the rest of the trek will be available shortly.

Lewis told The Pulse of Radio last year that performing as a solo artist has been part of his life even before he joined STAIND. "It's something I've wanted to do always," he said. "Before I ever started in this band, the acoustic thing is what I did. That's what my dad did when I was a kid, and it's something I've always wanted to do. If it can co-exist with STAIND, then I'll really kind of be having my cake and eating it too."

Lewis will also appear on the Outdoor Channel series "Dream Season Celebrity" sometime in 2010. The "Dream Season" series is a reality hunting show that chronicles competing teams from across the country, with celebrities and everyday people teaming up this time around.

Lewis's participation in the series will raise funds for the Catch-A-Dream Foundation, which grants once-in-a-lifetime hunting and fishing experiences to children with life-threatening illnesses.

STAIND is currently on the road as special guests of CREED. The tour pulls into West Valley City, Utah on Friday (October 2). STAIND issued its latest album, "The Illusion Of Progress", in summer 2008.
