STAIND Singer To Be Inducted Into Casino Walk Of Fame

February 1, 2010

According to The Pulse of Radio, STAIND lead singer Aaron Lewis will be inducted into the Mohegan Sun Casino's Walk of Fame prior to his solo acoustic show at the Connecticut venue on Friday (February 5). Lewis is being honored for playing over 30 shows at the casino, including both acoustic stints and concerts with STAIND. On his last solo trek in early 2009, Lewis sold more than 8,000 tickets at the venue's arena. The induction ceremony will be held outside the main entrance and all fans coming for that night's concert are invited to attend.

Most of Lewis' solo dates throughout the years have been at casinos, and he told The Pulse of Radio why playing them makes sense for him. "It makes it so that I can play a small number of shows and still make a little bit of money too," he said. "I can keep the number of shows way down because the casinos tend to be able to pay more money, so it kinds of keeps it as a more special type of deal. You know, I'm popping out for a weekend or two here or there."

Lewis kicked off his sixth annual solo acoustic tour last month, with dates for the trek extending into late February and early March.

Lewis has also been working on his debut solo album since STAIND came off the road last year.
