STAIND And HOOBASTANK Hitting The Casinos

The Pulse of Radio reports that STAIND and HOOBASTANK will team up for a spring run of casino shows, starting on April 18 at the 4 Bears Casino and Lodge in New Town, Maryland and finishing up on May 24 at the Tachi Palace Hotel in Lemoore, California. STAIND is supporting its sixth studio album, 2008's "The Illusion Of Progress", while HOOBASTANK is out behind its fourth effort, "For(n)ever", which came out at the end of January.

HOOBASTANK will also appear at Rock On The Range in Columbus, Ohio on May 17, and although he says he's looking forward to that event, frontman Doug Robb told The Pulse of Radio he's not a fan of festival-style shows. "I do get annoyed when we play the big, like, the big festivals where the separation between the end of the stage and the first row of people is like 30 feet, and you're 15 feet up," he said. "You do feed so much off the energy of the crowd, and being that separated from them is kind of annoying, you know. Like, I mean, you get used to it, it's not the worst thing in the world, but I wish they could take the big soccer stadium feel and just push the crowd as close to the stage as they can, you know."
