Spokesperson: Remaining BLACK SABBATH Catalog To Receive Box-Set Treatment No Earlier Than 2005

February 10, 2004

According to a posting at www.black-sabbath.com, a spokesperson at the management company of BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi has stated that there will be no further box-set releases from SABBATH beyond the forthcoming "Black Box: The Complete Original Black Sabbath (1970-1978)" set until at least 2005. "The remaining material will be released, but not this year," according to the spokesperson.

As previously reported, the release date for the much-anticipated eight-disc box set, "Black Box: The Complete Original Black Sabbath (1970-1978)", has been pushed back to April 27. The final box art can be viewed at this location.

Retailing for $99.98, "Black Box: The Complete Original Black Sabbath (1970-1978)" will feature remastered versions of the band's albums with Ozzy Osbourne behind the mike, as well as a live DVD with previously unseen footage.

The original SABBATH lineup (along with executive producer Sharon Osbourne) supervised the box set, which will feature the classic albums "Black Sabbath", "Paranoid", "Master of Reality", "Vol. 4", "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath", "Sabotage", "Technical Ecstasy" and "Never Say Die!"
