SPIRITUAL BEGGARS To Begin Recording New Album Next Week

July 8, 2004

Swedish hard rockers SPIRITUAL BEGGARS, the band featuring former CARCASS and current ARCH ENEMY axeman Mike Amott, will be entering Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden next week with producer Fredrik Nordström (who worked with the group on their "Ad Astra" and "Mantra III" releases) to begin recording their sixth album, tentatively due before the end of the year.

Amott comments: "We have been working on this new music for over a year, on and off. We have got a great collection of songs that we think are of a slightly heavier and more intense direction than the songs on 'On Fire' (2002). The spirit of HEAVY rock is still alive and well in the camp here and it's all smiles as we rehearse this stuff, we just know this is going to sound absolutely HUGE when we lay it down on Fredrik Nordström's Studer 2 tape machine!!!"
