January 30, 2010

SOULGRIND, the Finnish band featuring former LULLACRY frontwoman Tanja "Whisper Lilith" Kemppainen (a.k.a. Tanya),has posted two new songs — "The Call Of The Dancing Waters" and "Rain Before The Dawn" — on its MySpace page. The tracks will appear on the group's forthcoming ninth album, "The Tuoni Pathway", which is scheduled for release in April via U.K.'s Femme Metal Records. The CD will feature a guest appearance by Roope Latvala of CHILDREN OF BODOM.

Commented SOULGRIND guitarist Lord Heikkinen: "We have done the best album to date. Nine tracks of beauty, heaviness and darkness. . . Overall, it is a one helluva album."

A video for "The Call Of The Dancing Waters" was recently completed and will be released soon.

A demo version of the song "Farewell To Misery" appeared on the "Demonic and Divine" compilation, which was released through Femme Metal Records. The track is described as "a tale of an old couple still in love after 50, heading to death, so enjoy the dark ride."
