SOULFLY Joined By Former Drummer At Chicago Gig

SOULFLY were joined on stage by former member Joe Nunez during the extended "drum jam" portion of their headlining set at the House Of Blues in Chicago, Illinois Thursday night (May 1). According to an onlooker, "Joe and [SOULFLY drummer] Roy [Mayorga] both commanded the beat high atop the stage on Roy's kit, while Max [Cavalera], Marcello [Dias] and Mikey [Doling] kept the beat and crowd jumping."

Nunez played drums for SOULFLY on the "Primitive" album and the subsequent tour before leaving in October 2001. He was later replaced by his predecessor in the group, Roy Mayorga (ex-MEDICATION).
