SONIC SYNDICATE Replaces DARK TRANQUILLITY At Sweden's CLOSE-UP BÅTEN

SONIC SYNDICATE has replaced DARK TRANQUILLITY on the billing of the Close-Up Båten cruise.

DARK TRANQUILLITY will embark on a U.S. tour with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA in February. As a result, DARK TRANQUILLITY was forced to cancel its previously announced appearances in Sweden (including at the Close-up Båten festival).

For the fourth time, Close-Up Båten will sail from Stockholm, Sweden to Finland on February 25, 2010 and return the following day.

More acts will be announced for Close-Up Båten, once again packed with 2,000 partying metalheads.

CULT OF LUNA is currently taking an extended break from touring, but will make an exception for Close-Up Båten and two additional dates in Finland.

"I don't see a tour in the foreseeable future," says guitarist Johannes Persson (also of KHOMA). "We've done quite a lot of touring in support of 'Eternal Kingdom'. There won't be a European tour for quite some time and that's a promise."
