SONIC SYNDICATE Part Ways With Drummer, Announce Replacement

February 10, 2006

Swedish metal band SONIC SYNDICATE have parted ways with drummer Kristoffer Bäcklund. "This decision was very hard to make, ultimately came about due to lack of enthusiasm and motivation on his side," explained the band's guitarist and songwriter Roger Sjunnesson. "We came to the conclusion that if we were to continue SONIC SYNDICATE as a professional band, we had to let him go. The band and Kristoffer are still the best of friends, and the former drummer will always be a huge part of SONIC SYNDICATE's spirit." Replacing Kristoffer in the band is John "Runken" Bengtsson (DØDZ). "He is an old schoolmate of ours and one of the best musicians we have worked with, and his playing so far has been beyond our expectations," explained Sjunnesson. "We all want to give him a warm welcome and hope he will enjoy playing in SONIC SYNDICATE."

SONIC SYNDICATE's debut album, "Eden Fire", was recorded at StudioMega (THE CROWN, BESEECH) with producers Christian Silver and Manne Engström and released on September 13, 2005 through Florida-based record label Pivotal Rockordings.
