SOLITUDE AETURNUS Mainman Discusses Direction Of New Album

March 11, 2003

SOLITUDE AETURNUS mastermind John Perez recently spoke to Electricbasement.com about the musical direction of the band's upcoming album, tentatively due at the end of the year.

"All of the songs are written," Perez revealed. "Now it's time to arrange them and scrutinize [them]. This is the painstaking process of re-writing and being honest with ourselves as to whether or not what we've done is any good or not. It'll take a little while but it's always worth it to be critical of your own work. The songs on this album will include some more traditional 'metal' elements more so than before. And more or less metal like later period SABBATH or something of that sort. Of course we have the traditional SOLITUDE AETURNUS doom songs and some strange things as well. All in all it's going to be another record that I can personally listen to at home and enjoy the hell out of it." Read the entire interview here.
