SOCIETY 1 Part Ways With Drummer

January 5, 2004

SOCIETY 1, the Californian band led by former porn director Matt Zane, have parted ways with drummer Dagon.

The following is Dagon's official statement on the matter:

"My involvement with SOCIETY 1 was an enlightening experience that has allowed me to grow as a visionary and an artist. The energy of our cohesive live performances could've safely been aligned with a unique greatness only seen in legend that, certainly, will never be forgotten. Due to the impermanence and instability of life's variables, I have decided to leave SOCIETY 1 forever. Recent tragic events in my life have explicitly revealed Matt's vision that I've realized I could no longer be a part of. This decision is mutual, and I wish the guys my best for their future journeys and endeavors.

"I have decided to put together an official website www.ARCofDAGON.com that will be set for release early January. This will allow me to make public all events I am yet to encounter with my newfound path of independence."

SOCIETY 1 utilized the services of POWERMAN 5000 drummer Adrian Ost during a portion of their recent U.S. tour with TWIZTID. A permanent replacement for Dagon has yet to be named.
