SLUMBER To Enter Studio Tomorrow

January 9, 2010

Swedish melodic doom/death metallers SLUMBER will enter Panic Room Studios in Skara, Sweden tomorrow (Sunday, January 10) to begin a four-week recording/mixing session for the band's new album, entitled "Resonance". A late spring release is expected.

Commented Ehsan Kalantarpour (vocals, synth): "Never in my life have I with such pride and energy tackled a huge challenge like this. This album has turned out to be immensely complex to create but extremely rewarding if done focused and right.

"It's becoming a journey many of you will never, EVER forget.

"I know the [pre-production] samples [of the new tracks] on our MySpace site might confuse some of you. Every day the songs are heavily changing to create a very dynamic context. So please don't 'worry' — once you hear the album you will recognize its massive voyage nature."

Drummer Ted Larsson left SLUMBER in October 2009 "because of private reasons." The band will utilize the services of two session drummers during the "Resonance" tracking process. The CD will also include appearances by Ida Sundquvist, Lina Svärd and the Vinköl choir.

SLUMBER's debut album, "Fallout", was released in 2004 via Karmageddon/New Aeon Media.
