SLIPKNOT Bassist 'Safe And Sound' Despite Assault Rumors

Contrary to a widespread Internet rumor suggesting that SLIPKNOT bassist Paul Gray (#2) was brutally attacked by a distraught fan and stabbed six times in the chest area Friday night (Dec. 20), Gray is "safe and sound" at home in Des Moines, Iowa preparing to begin the songwriting process for the group's next album, due in late 2003/early 2004.

Paul, who was erroneously reported to have been stabbed in St. Paul, Minnesota following the debut live performance of his side project F.O.R. (also featuring members of AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE), is said to have no clue about how the rumor started.
