SLAYER, LAMB OF GOD And BEHEMOTH: North American Tour Announced

February 28, 2017

SLAYER, LAMB OF GOD and BEHEMOTH will join forces for a tour this summer. The six-week expedition will rage across North America beginning July 12 in Bemidji, Minnesota, winding up in Phoenix, Arizona on August 20. SLAYER and LAMB OF GOD will also play Wisconsin's Rock Fest (July 13) and Rock USA 2017 (July 15),and then meet up with BEHEMOTH at the Chicago Open Air festival on July 16.

A special BLABBERMOUTH.NET presale will begin on Wednesday, March 1 at 10:00 a.m. EST and end on Thursday, March 2 at 10:00 p.m. EST. When prompted, type in the presale code "metalaf" to access tickets before the general public.

The general on-sale is Friday, March 3.

Said SLAYER's Kerry King: "As metal tours go, this is the one that your fellow metal heads will be bragging about if you miss it! Not very often I get to go on tour where we are all friends to start. That being said, the potential for greatness at these events is mind blowing. I look forward to being a part of it, and hanging with old friends- bands as well as fanatical fans! Let the festivities begin!!"

Added LAMB OF GOD's Randy Blythe: "It's been a while since we've toured with the almighty SLAYER and even longer since we've hit the road with our friends in BEHEMOTH. I can't wait! This tour is gonna be the feel-good event of the summer — the gigs are gonna be like the Haight-Ashbury during the Summer of Love in '67! Ok, so that's complete bullshit, it's gonna be absolutely nothing like that, so don't show up with flowers in your hair looking for free hugs or anything stupid like that. It will definitely be a good fucking time though (as long as your definition of a good time means brutal, caustic, and hideously loud music) — see ya there!"

Said BEHEMOTH's Adam "Nergal" Darski': "It is with the utmost pride we are announcing the SLAYER, LAMB OF GOD and BEHEMOTH summer tour! We are beyond excited to be joining this bill with these living legends and... our friends one more time! We are also stoked about coming back to North American shores for the last time before kicking off the next album cycle. Come and join this EXTREME metal feast with us!"

Daniel Gierszanow was my best friend when I was 10... or around that time. I remember he owned Slayer cassette... yellow one, with "Reign Blood" on it. And again, I did not dig it at all... it was just a canonade of noisy riffs... never heard MUSIC in it. Shortly after I got myself an RC (back in '80 it was #1 pirate cassette company in Poland) tape with "Show No Mercy" on it. An opening "Evil has no boundaries" was a game changer for me and from that moment it's not only one of the best thrash songs EVER but I became a die hard Slayer devotee. With BEHEMOTH! we had this privelage to open for them and Celtic Frost in Katowice. Then we opened again for them and Metallica in Warsaw. THEN again we ended up on Mayhem tour in US when we did a full run with Slayer and Marilyn Manson. I remember I would go and watch Slayer EVERY nite, sit behind Kerry's rig which was Armand's (RIP) domain. Armand would always greet me with open arms and cold Heineken. With a beer in my hand and the ultimate thrash metal band at my hand I could celebrate my most beloved music like a king! There's something immenesly captivating about them... something that makes me wanna watch the show from start til the end. And I can NEVER get bored... then we were asked to open for them in Italy last year. AGAIN amazing show and top notch shape of slayers! And THEN my wet dream came true AGAIN... Behemoth got an offer to do a full tour in US in Summer 2017. Yes, yes, yes... It's not a miracle, it's 25 years history, hard work and dedication of me and my band mates. We earned that, we worked for that... but I always have in my heart this lil' Adaś at the age of 10 who soooo pationately would listen to "Show No Mercy" banging his head and throwing horns in front of the mirror. Some things NEVER change... and never will. I'm more than fortunate and super grateful and I can not wait to start that tour! @slayerbandofficial @lambofgod @drandallblythe @behemothofficial @behemothwebstore
