SLASH Receiving 'MusiCares From the Heart' Award From STEVEN TYLER; Video Available

Footage of VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash receiving the MusiCares From the Heart Award from AEROSMITH frontman Steven Tyler and taking part in an all-star jam with Tyler and other members of VELVET REVOLVER at the fourth annual MusiCares MAP Fund benefit concert last night (Friday, May 9) at The Music Box @ Fonda in Hollywood, California can be viewed below.

Slash was the recipient of the award for his unconditional friendship and dedication to the mission and goals of the organization. Also honored was the legendary rock artist Alice Cooper, who was the recipient of the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award for his dedication to and support of the MusiCares MAP Fund and his devotion to helping other addicts with the recovery process.

Wayne Kramer, Duff McKagan and Chad Smith performed with CAMP FREDDY (Billy Morrison, Chris Chaney, Donovan Leitch, Matt Sorum and Slash) along with Steven Tyler, Chester Bennington (LINKIN PARK) and Robin Zander (CHEAP TRICK). The evening also featured an appearance by BLIND MELON and a very special performance by Alice Cooper and Slash.
