SKYCLAD To Headline U.K.'s DOMINION Festival

Pagan folk metallers SKYCLAD will headline their only U.K. gig this year at the first Dominion festival, set to take place October 2 at the Piper in Hull. The festival, organised by PMUK promotions, boasts a lineup of 11 bands in 12 hours Tickets are available from Ticket Line (www.ticketline.co.uk) or from the PMUK web site, priced at £12.50

The inaugural Dominion - Autumn Assault metal festival is the most ambitious undertaking so far for a team of heavy metal fans who went into the promotions business just under a year ago. In the past few months, Power Metal UK (www.power-metal.co.uk) has gone from a small site for metal fans, to having over 4½ million hits in the last year. "The development into gig promotions seemed the next logical step, after the success of the web site, and the idea for Dominion grew from there," said Glyn Beasley, one of the management team and founders of PMUK.

The 400-capacity Piper in Newland Avenue, Hull is the venue for this prestigious event, and the team have been lucky enough to secure not only the first U.K. gig so far this year for SKYCLAD, but also the U.K. debut show for Germanic metalheads HUMAN FORTRESS.
