SKINLESS Begins Recording New Album

October 11, 2014

Reformed New York death metal maniacs SKINLESS have entered Edie Road Studios in Argyle, New York with engineer Tom Case to record their long-awaited new album for a spring 2015 release via Relapse. The band's first CD in more than eight years will be mixed by Dave Otero (CEPHALIC CARNAGE, PRIMITIVE MAN) and mastered at Audio Siege Studios (OBITUARY, NAILS) in Portland. Tentative songtitles set to appear on the album include "Serpenticide", "Skinless", and "The Beast Smells Blood". Artwork will be handled by Ken Sarafin.

Comments SKINLESS guitarist Noah Carpenter: "Finally, for the first time since 2006, SKINLESS is in the studio hammering out a new album.

"We can't wait to get this out to the fans and hear some feedback.

"These songs have the SKINLESS heavy groove but we added guitar solos and some different elements to bring it to the next level.

"The album cover has just been finished and it's easily our best one yet."

Formed in 1992 in Albany, New York, SKINLESS has released four full-length albums and numerous EPs throughout its 20-plus-year career. After disbanding in 2011, the group is now back together with the classic "Progression Towards Evil" lineup (Sherwood Webber on vocals, Noah Carpenter on guitar, Joe Keyser on bass, Bob Beaulac on drums) plus the recent addition of Dave Matthews on second guitar.

SKINLESS 2014 is:

Sherwood Webber - Vocals
Noah Carpenter - Guitar
Dave Matthews - Guitar
Joe Keyser - Bass
Bob Beaulac - Drums
