SKINDRED Prepare To Enter Studio

May 12, 2004

SKINDRED, the Welsh band featuring former members of DUB WAR, will enter a Florida studio on May 20 to begin recording bonus tracks for the upcoming re-release of their debut album, "Babylon". The new version of the CD is scheduled for release on August 24 through Bieler Bros./Lava Records.

In other news, SKINDRED have been jamming and building a powerful acoustic set to perform mellow versions of some of the tracks that are featured on "Babylon". At present, the set consists of some very different rewordings of "Together", "Pressure" and "The Fear", to name a few. They have also recorded the tracks in their studio and are looking forward to performing the songs live at radio sessions and some in-store signings sessions in the near future. In addition, the band may make the recordings available for download on their official web site.

As previously reported, SKINDRED and NONPOINT will be releasing a limited-edition split CD sampler. The sampler will be distributed by the bands' respective street teams in late May and June. To view the artwork for SKINDRED, click here.

SKINDRED and NONPOINT will be playing a show together on June 5 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida (presented by 94.9 Zeta).
