SKINDRED: 'Babylon' Re-Release Due In August

May 6, 2004

A new version of SKINDRED's debut album, "Babylon", featuring "four brand-new ripping raggapunk classics with new packaging," is scheduled for release on August 24 through Bieler Bros./Lava Records.

Commented frontman Benji Webbe: " 'Babylon' may have been out a while but a lot have changed since Mike and Arya joined us. We cant wait to go in and let people hear what new vibes we've been building and creating in our laboratory. The new stuff has captured a whole fresh element to SKINDRED and we are sure that fans and foes are gunner trip out when they hear some of these songs. The plan is to write about 40 tracks then pick 12 for the full-blown follow-up to 'Babylon'. But [in the] meantime you got to catch some of this new material. That's why we are adding new bonus songs to 'Babylon'. That album's far from reaching its potential. This stuff got to be heard and that's why we are giving people a taste of what's to come when we do release a second album."

As previously reported, SKINDRED and NONPOINT will be releasing a limited-edition split CD sampler. The sampler will be distributed by the bands' respective street teams in late May and June. To view the artwork for SKINDRED, click here.

SKINDRED and NONPOINT will be playing a show together on June 5 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida (presented by 94.9 Zeta).
